Comfort Suites Innsbrook - Short Pump

The room itself was clean and fine, with no bad smell, but the check-in was rough. I booked a king bed and found two beds in the room instead. The desk said I'd booked two, though my receipt clearly showed one king. There were no towels either. I arrived a little after the 3 p.m. check-in time and was told to wait 15-20 minutes because the room wasn't ready. I checked twice for an update, and only at 5 did they say it was ready. When I got there, the door was propped open with its latch.

I checked out and moved next door to the Hilton Garden Inn after the toilet overflowed. The non-smoking room had a strong smoke smell, chipped paint, and a TV that wouldn't work. Soon after checking in, I asked to switch rooms because of the smoke and TV. The clerk explained how to fix the TV, but the steps weren't intuitive, and said all the rooms smelled that way. I had a much more comfortable stay at the Hilton Garden Inn for the same price. I can't recommend this place. It gets one star only because I can't give it less.

The location was the one good thing, with several businesses and restaurants nearby. But the place needs a lot of maintenance. I paid for a room with a whirlpool, and it didn't work. The room looked mostly uncleaned, and there were no clean towels. Only one elevator worked, and the ice maker was broken. I could keep listing problems.

I was traveling with a business group, and we waited two hours for our rooms. When they finally handed me a key, my room still hadn't been cleaned. The hallways smelled of cigarettes and urine, and there was mold on the room walls. My business partners and I left soon after and went to the hotel across the street.
