Fairfield Inn & Suites Milledgeville

After driving more than 15 hours, my husband and I arrived around 3am. The front desk associate checked us in and everything seemed fine until we paid and got to the room. Then she called to say the water was off because of something beyond their control. She said there was no running water and no refund available, but we could talk to a manager in the morning. I was very upset. The manager on duty, a black woman, was nasty and unprofessional. The general manager said she’d contact us the next day and make it right, but we haven’t heard from her at all. On top of everything, ladybugs were falling from the ceiling. Stay away from this place.

We’d happily stay here again if we’re in the area. The pool and fitness center were great, the rooms were clean, and breakfast was very good. Staff were courteous and professional, too.

This was my least favorite of the many Marriott’s I’ve stayed at. The room smelled damp, the AC unit was really dirty, and the bathroom wasn’t clean. There was hair left behind by a previous guest and mold spots in the shower. Very disappointing.

Val gave us our keys when we arrived. We were there for a field party and expected to be back in the early hours, so I asked for late checkout. The toilet and sink water were red, but I let it go, thinking it might just be a little rust. At 3am we were muddy and needed showers, but the water never got warm, let alone hot. Cold showers it was. The internet didn’t work, and breakfast milk was expired. When I mentioned the cold water at checkout, the front desk woman said nobody had told us the water heater was out and the city couldn’t come until Monday. She said some rooms did have hot water and we should’ve said something sooner so they could move us. Where was the Silver Elite treatment?
