The common areas look lovely, and my kids were happy to find complimentary hot chocolate in the lobby. The location works well for winter ski access and summer activities, breakfast was simple but solid, and the dining area has great views. Staff were friendly and helpful during our two-night stay at the newly opened Hotel Indigo North Conway. The room had some real problems. The heater was very loud and mostly blew cold air even when set to heat. Changing the fan settings did nothing, so we had to turn it off to sleep and were cold at night. I mentioned it to the front desk, but didn’t feel they cared much. The closet was ridiculously small for a family of four with bulky winter gear, and there was no safe in the room. The pool looked nice, but the water was too cold for us, even for the kids.

This is about the viewpoint bar and restaurant, since it doesn’t have its own Google listing, not the hotel. Save your time and money. The server seemed untrained and kept avoiding us when we needed another drink or help with burgers that weren’t cooked to the temperatures we asked for. The menu listed wines that weren’t available. We waited for coffee, cleared our own table, and the server asked if we wanted cream but never brought it.

The view from the windows over the scenic outlook toward Mount Washington was incredible. I stayed a few weeknights ago and had a great experience at this brand new hotel, which has a distinctive modern look. The front desk staff were very friendly, the evening staff always greeted me, and the morning staff were glad to help with anything I needed.

We left the next morning and didn’t even try breakfast again. For dinner, we had reservations but were turned away around 7 p.m. because the kitchen had suddenly closed after the chef quit. The hotel didn’t seem staffed for the holiday, offered no other food options, and never followed up after we asked to be contacted. We ended up ordering Dominos and waited another 90 minutes. I didn’t expect this at this location, and the grand opening clearly didn’t go well. Breakfast had also been a disappointment. We thought we could order from the menu on the website, but it was a buffet and most of the hot food was cold. There was no pancake syrup or microwave to heat anything, and the fancy coffee machine was broken, so we couldn’t get coffee without paying for breakfast. We stayed over Valentines weekend. To the manager, if my feedback is “invaluable,” why didn’t the hotel ever reach out to make this right? I’ll never set foot in this establishment again.

The Mushroom Swiss Burger was pretty good, as were the fries, and Neil gave solid service. I’d come back with friends to enjoy the views and comfy seating, maybe sharing an appetizer or two. I’ve only been to the third-floor bar, The Viewpoint Rooftop Eatery & Bar, so far. It’s a beautiful place, especially the lobby and bar areas, with views of My Washington. The two beers I wanted from the menu weren’t available, and they were out of the Beer Cheese Burger too, so I got a local tap beer and the mushroom burger instead. Beer prices seemed normal for the MWV, but the food was pricey. My burger cost $22, and the Beer Cheese Burger I’d wanted was $27.
