The room was spotless and smelled fresh, with a calm feel from its lovely decor. I asked for a robe and slippers while I was out at dinner, and they were waiting in the room when I got back. The valet and front desk greeted me warmly when I arrived, and even with a conference going on, I was upgraded to a pool-view room for my one-night visit. The lobby has lots of comfortable seating for working or relaxing, and the café and store have a nice range of snacks and drinks. Parking is on the expensive side, though the gated garage and easy hotel access gave me peace of mind. I usually stay at another hotel down the street because it's nearer to my business meetings. After cleanliness problems on my recent visit there, I returned to the Hyatt Regency Irvine. This reminded me why it's been my preferred choice, and it remains my top pick in the area.

Veronica N at the front desk made our stay at Hyatt Regency Irvine especially nice. She was thoughtful and helpful, including suggesting that we reserve breakfast early on busy Sundays. When she heard we were celebrating our child's birthday, she surprised us with a little cake. The room felt new, the Club lounge food was delicious, and the pool worked well for our five-year-old. The housekeeping team on the fifth floor were warm and welcoming too. We'll come back next time we're in LA.

There was a big event in the lobby when we arrived, so the place was loud and hectic. Veronica at the front desk still made check-in feel calm, greeting us warmly and handling everything with kindness and professionalism. Since we had a young child with us, she noticed and made sure we were comfortable without us having to ask. The hotel is clean and well maintained, and our room was spacious and comfortable. We had a great visit and would recommend staying here. Thanks, Veronica, for making it so pleasant.

My family has stayed here several times over the past couple of years, and it's generally been a great experience. But I want management to take a serious look at the pool temperature. I used the pool repeatedly over that time, and it used to be warm. Now, while the hotel still advertises it as heated, the water seems to be set below 70. I consider 76 or above a reasonable temperature for a heated pool. The pool is in a windy spot, and even in summer it can feel chilly outside the water. Cool water makes it even less pleasant. I don't know how much the hotel saves by not heating it properly. Unless management is trying to discourage pool use, please warm it up. Thanks.

The renovated Hyatt Regency Irvine was a great location, and I had a better stay than I expected. The front desk team were welcoming, and the Christmas decorations made the hotel feel special. I used points for this visit and felt it was worth it. As a member, I could request early check-in and late checkout, which made things easier. We had a clean, modern corner suite with two bathrooms and quality toiletries. The pull-out sofa bed wasn't very comfortable, but everything else worked well. Parking is $41 a day. I'd definitely return.
