Red Roof Inn & Suites Irving – DFW Airport South

There was a rat running all over my room, making sure I noticed it. I told guest services I'd never slept around rats in my life and said, if you don't switch rooms...

I've been here for three weeks and it's quiet and convenient, with good staff. I had no real complaints after the first few room changes, and I'm satisfied enough to stay again. The rooms are spacious, especially the suites, but they badly need upgrades. At first they put me in a room with a very dirty couch, then one that smelled strange and had no couch. The third room was very clean, though still had a slight smell that a candle, incense, or room spray could fix. I didn't see any bugs, which is always a good sign. Staff handled the room changes well.

This place is a dive and I'd never recommend it. There were holes in the walls, broken lights in several rooms, and a TV with a broken screen. People were smoking pot, and there was black mold in the showers. You have to go to the front office every time you want ice. The laundry room smelled bad and had stains on the floor. Staying here is a waste of money.

We stayed here last year without seeing any roaches, but this time we did, and the place is no good now. People kept walking around in circles, and it made me feel like they were casing us. After this, we're not coming back. Handle the roach problem!
