Sands of Islamorada

The dryer in the coin laundry stopped working and left our clothes wet, but the staff opened the in-house laundry and dried everything for me. That kind of help made a good stay even better. Our room was modern and very clean, the beach and water access were great, and nights were quiet. We stayed three nights and would happily return.

The birdwatching was a nice extra, with woodpeckers and an osprey nest nearby, and the hotel has a lovely dock by the sea. It was also really quiet. I’ve stayed in hundreds of hotels around the world, and I’ve never seen accommodation this clean. Huge credit to housekeeping. I was only here for one night.

We left our keys in the drop box after a quick overnight stop, and the deposit was back within hours. Having a dedicated space right outside the room made coming and going easy. The room was clean, nicely furnished, and comfortable, though the pillows weren’t quite right for us since we’re picky about those. The sunrise view was spectacular, and we enjoyed watching the macaws. There are grills for cooking, too. We’d stay again if we’re in the area.

We used the grill to cook some meat, and there’s both a small beach area and a pool for hanging out. The family suite was roomy and super clean, and everything felt well organized. Staff were really nice. It’s such a cute, quiet, intimate little hotel. This was my second visit, and I’ll be back again.
