Best Western University Inn

We had clean rooms, comfortable beds, and a clean shower with plenty of hot water. The staff were friendly and accommodating with us and our dog. It’s a convenient spot, just a short ride from the heart of Ithaca without the hassle. Highly recommended.

We booked rooms here for our crew because it was convenient for the job site. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the staff were kind, attentive, and helpful. Downtown Ithaca, with its shops and restaurants, is very close. The breakfast room was clean and stayed stocked.

We had three rooms, 115, 117, and 119. They faced the back of the shopping plaza next door, so the setting isn’t much to look at, but the location is very handy for Cornell, about a five-minute drive. The rooms were quiet even with the hotel full, the beds were very comfortable, and everything was very clean. The bathrooms looked fairly recently updated. I was wary after reading comments about the facility’s age, but ended up pleasantly surprised since everything else in town was booked. A few minor things: one room’s A/C fan was somewhat noisy, and mine smelled a little musty, though neither issue was bad enough to ask for a room change. The free breakfast wasn’t appetizing, with watery buffet eggs and pale sausage, and the coffee was very weak. We ate elsewhere, though plenty of people were eating there. I’d definitely stay again for the quiet rooms and proximity to campus.

I usually stick with Hilton, but availability and price led me to book here, and I really enjoyed the stay. My room was large, quiet, and comfortable, with a gas fireplace that worked. The breakfast and coffee were great, the internet was strong enough to work without trouble, and every staff member I met was friendly. They do a great job, and we’ll be back.
