I wasn’t a guest at this hotel, and after this experience I wouldn’t recommend staying here. My car was towed from a spot with no signs at all indicating hotel property, reserved parking, or a tow-away zone. There was only a bare pole where the sign appeared to have fallen off. Keeping the signage in order is the hotel’s responsibility, and that failure caused the whole problem. The front desk staff were rude and dismissive instead of acknowledging the mistake, and kept making excuses without showing basic courtesy. The general manager was just as poor, with no empathy, ownership, or professionalism. It’s ridiculous to tow a car when there’s no way to know parking isn’t allowed, and their handling of it afterward made things worse. This incident tells me enough about how they treat people. If this is how they manage the lot and deal with the public, I can’t imagine the care guests receive inside. I strongly recommend avoiding this hotel.

The staff we met were pleasant and very helpful, and the restaurant and lounge looked great, though we ate elsewhere during our visit. The hotel is beautiful and well located, right by the Commons and just down the hill from Cornell. Our room did need some minor upkeep: there was water damage on the bathroom ceiling, the shower bench felt so loose I didn’t dare sit on it, the cable worked only off and on, and the small curtain control buttons didn’t seem to work.

The internet wasn’t working, and that also kept us from watching TV. Apart from that, it’s a clean hotel in a great location, with pleasant design and attention to detail. The staff were friendly.

It’s a nice, clean hotel in a good location, though expensive. Parking costs extra. You can pay the garage directly for $12 a day, but that comes to $24 a day because they count overnight as two separate days. If you drive an EV, there’s only one working Tesla charger in the garage. There are two units but one is broken, and the ChargePoint chargers won’t work with a Tesla because their handles are broken.

It’s a cozy hotel with a really nice design, and I love the vibe. The staff are very friendly, and overall it’s a great place to stay. It is a little pricey and somewhat hard to get to.
