Alpine Motel

The motel is in town but away from the busiest area, so it was quiet, and the town square was still an easy walk. Our room was better than I expected: two queen beds, a table and chairs, microwave, fridge, ironing board, and A/C and heat. The ice machine was handy for filling coolers before heading into the national park. Having to check in at another hotel was a little annoying. The WiFi never worked either, which was frustrating since the town only had LTE service.

At under $300 a night, The Alpine Motel was a great value in Jackson. It's a bit dated, but clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room had a comfortable bed and minifridge, with parking right outside. You can walk to the town square, restaurants, and shops in under five minutes, yet it's far enough away to stay quiet. I'd happily stay again.

We'd probably return, since the room was decent and cost less than most places in Jackson, though it was still expensive for what it was. The motel was quiet at night, the room warm, and the beds comfortable. Rooms were large and reasonably clean, with plenty of parking and a good range of amenities. Staff made check-in and checkout quick and easy, and the center of Jackson was about a ten minute walk away. The decor is dated, and the WiFi in the room was so weak that using mobile data was less frustrating. The shower pressure was poor and it was hard to get a comfortable temperature. Water sprayed onto the floor even with the curtain closed and the mat down, leaving it slippery. The toilet also needed the flush held down for five seconds to keep waste from coming back up.

A simple, very clean room with decent space, a minifridge, microwave, and A/C. The bed was really comfortable, and the neighborhood was quiet but still convenient.
