Hampton Inn & Suites Jackson

Devote B is an absolute treasure for this hotel. He checked us in the night we arrived and worked through the second night of our stay. He was friendly, accommodating, and helpful since we're not from the area, and he gave us spots to eat in town. The morning staff were nice too. Every time they saw you, they'd say good morning or ask how you were. The hotel was clean and comfortable. Even though it's by the expressway, you couldn't hear it at all, and I'm a light sleeper. My husband and I enjoyed the conversations and the kindness. We'll be back to Tennessee in a few months and will book again.

We booked a room and confirmed it with Amber over the phone that morning. She was great. Check-in was at 4 pm, but our room wasn't ready, and the attendant said we'd have to wait another 30-60 minutes because they were short on housekeeping staff. We asked about sister hotels or other rooms, but were told we could wait or cancel. We sat in the hot, dusty lobby. The attendant later offered us water and said there might be a ground-floor room in 25 minutes. That was a thoughtful customer service move, and I appreciated it. Still, we'd already noticed that the women's restroom soap dispenser had issues and several large bugs were on the inside lobby curtains. Cleanliness is non-negotiable for me as a guest. Our confidence in the Hampton Inn was shaken, so we canceled. I doubt we'll book with them at any location again. There are too many hospitality providers in Madison County that get this right.

Our pickup broke down in the hotel parking lot while we were driving home from TX. Brandon and Stephen took care of my family and me and were more than accommodating. Thanks for making a bad day a little less bad!

If you want staff entering your room without your knowledge even with your do not disturb card on the door, this is the hotel for you. The 24-hour coffee also isn't ready at any given time, so it's the perfect spot if that's what you like!
