The WiFi was surprisingly solid. I streamed a four-hour meeting without a glitch, and there were four or five networks to choose from. But I upgraded to the king suite and it looked nothing like the photos on Hotels.com. I prepaid and couldn’t get a refund. The room smelled so much that I think the odor followed me on my clothes, even though I didn’t notice it as badly at first. I thought new management might improve things, and I’d stayed at an OYO in Vegas, so I figured it was trustworthy. No, sir, no ma’am. Don’t stay here.

The place was already falling apart and filthy when I got to the room. There was a bucket under the sink catching water from a leaky faucet, and the air conditioner cover was off. It looked like nobody had cleaned in months. From the moment you arrive, the weed smell is strong enough to give you a contact high. If zero stars were possible, I’d choose that.

We turned right around and checked out as soon as we saw the room. It had a blood stain on the bedspread, dead roaches, and cigarette butts, and the whole property was filthy, from the parking lot to the room. Even the elevator had trash in it. Everything was dark and looked like a horror movie, nothing like the advertised remodeled rooms or the pictures online. We’d booked for the Fourth of July weekend. Since we never unpacked or even sat down, I asked for a refund. I’m still fighting to get it because the hotel clerk apparently lied and never processed it. It looked like a place for drug addicts and street walkers.

I’m done with this place and won’t come back. They expect you to clean your own room even though you’re paying to stay there, and you have to buy your own cleaning supplies and towels because they don’t have clean towels and barely have clean sheets. The front desk guy is very rude. People have been murdered there and the police are always around. Goodbye.

There weren’t any blankets, just a sheet. When I felt something hard in the bed, I pulled the sheets back and found candy and trash. There was more rubbish on the floor, gnats and cockroaches in the bathroom, and a dresser full of dirty tips. We also had no towels, there was no continental breakfast despite what the site said, and the pool wasn’t open. It was just scary and off-putting. I don’t see how they stay in business. If I could give zero stars, I would.
