I stayed two nights in a non-smoking room with one king bed, and found it satisfactory if you're comfortable with that setup. There was a comfortable king bed, a couch and desk for a sitting and work area, plus a TV, mini fridge, microwave, and a wide mirror across from the sink. The bathtub was fine, though I wanted hotter water, and the air conditioning was welcome in warm weather. Breakfast is free, but not much to write home about: coffee made by the front desk from generic grounds and packaged sugary donuts. You can take as many donuts as you want. Whataburger and Waffle House are about a minute away on foot, with Taco Bell and Wendy's among the other nearby fast food places. The Two Mississippi Museums are roughly a 20-minute walk away. Locals advised me to be careful around there because it can be a little sketchy. The nearest bus stop is also about a 20-minute walk, and the area gets quiet at night. Jackson has very limited public transit, so renting a car or using rideshare makes sense. It tends to be the cheapest of the nearby hotels, and the experience reflects that. Still, it's an affordable, comfortable option near the highway and quick food.
