The Cloudveil, Autograph Collection

Grey made a particularly kind impression. They were helpful and accommodating, and surprised my girlfriend with a little goodie bag to congratulate her on her promotion. It meant a lot to us. The bistro downstairs had great food and drinks and a fun vibe, and the free hot cocoa was another thoughtful touch. We could walk everywhere from the perfect location. From beginning to end, our stay at The Cloudveil in Jackson Hole was incredible, and it exceeded our expectations. We’ll definitely be back.

The rooms and location are great, but the service was pretty horrendous. Check-in staff were rude, condescending, dismissive, and indifferent. There was no valet when we arrived, and when we told the front desk, they just shrugged and seemed unwilling to help. My impression was that staff would rather play on their phones behind the desk than help guests. The room insulation is so poor that you can hear conversations in nearby rooms and the hallway. Locals had warned me about bad construction and cut corners, including the lack of insulation, and unfortunately they were right. When I was talking with two other guests at a normal volume in our room, a staff member said cops would be called if we didn’t lower our voices. It’s frustrating that normal conversation carries because of the building, and then guests get a rude threat of police as an initial warning. I was willing to give the property a chance despite what I’d heard, but this was an interesting approach to customer service, and I didn’t feel assured of privacy for conversations in the room. I’d advise staying elsewhere if you want to talk normally in your room. Rusty Parrot, White Buffalo, and Hotel Jackson are places in town I’d recommend over the Cloudveil. They all have much better customer service and amenities. The price here is nowhere near commensurate with the service.

Libbie at the check-in desk made an incredibly warm first impression. She was so kind and friendly, and you’re lucky to have her working there. The lobby has a gorgeous atmosphere, and everything was top-notch across the board. Thank you, Libby! I’d highly recommend booking this beautiful hotel.

It was our first time at the Cloudveil on a recent trip to Jackson, and we had an amazing stay. It’s a little pricey, but the location, service, and design make up for that. The lobby, halls, and rooms all looked amazing. After I’d checked out, a package I’d had sent to the hotel arrived. The front desk shipped it back to my house by 2nd day air without asking questions or charging a fee. I’d highly recommend staying here.
