Travelodge by Wyndham Jackson

My mom, daughter, and I have been here over a month and will probably stay until we find our own place. We have an eviction less than a year old. It's been awesome. The employees are all really kind and interact with my toddler, which I love. We keep the room clean, and when we need fresh towels or linens, they bring them in a reasonable amount of time. The little lobby bar has tasty food at decent prices, and the rates are very reasonable too. We can't wait to use the pool when it's running and warm enough. Sometimes cigarette smoke from people outside comes into our room because we're right above where they smoke, but it doesn't happen often or last long, so we just close the window. You need a vehicle since there aren't any stores nearby, but that's easy if you have friends or family or your own car, and the highway is close.

Housekeeping really made this stay for us. Every person we met smiled, spoke with us, and was friendly and communicative. They treated guests with genuine warmth, and you can feel how much they care. The room was clean, and the bedding was fresh and comfortable. The rooms are a little outdated, but it looks like they're gradually adding furniture and updating things. Compared with our previous stays, the place is making real improvements. We're looking forward to seeing how it turns out next time. Our only hiccup was check-in. The front desk employee seemed either to be asleep or bent down looking at her phone. We waited a while and made a little noise to get her attention. She looked up and said, "Oh, didn't see you there." It felt odd to see someone at the desk sitting like that. Maybe she'd worked all day, we're not sure, but at other places we've visited around the United States, front desk staff usually organize paperwork or tidy up when they aren't helping guests. My significant other booked us a room at the Travelodge by Wyndham Jackson, and we really enjoyed our stay. The new housekeeping crew is amazing, and we look forward to coming back and seeing the ongoing improvements.

After driving all day, I booked a room through one of the many apps. The desk manager had an attitude, acted like she didn't want to do her job, and complained about eating dinner. It wasn't how I wanted to end my day. I'm also tired of booking a room and only finding out about a deposit when I arrive. It honestly looks dirty, and most of the rooms seem to have people living in them. No traveler in their right mind should want to stay there.

The room was exceptionally clean, and the owner and staff were very welcoming. The wings and butterfly shrimp from the bar were excellent, and the drinks were on point. It was a relaxing, friendly place. For that price range in the Jackson area, I'd give it a 10 out of 10 and recommend it.
