SureStay Plus Hotel by Best Western Jackson

For $70, I expected more. The room was moderately clean, but the bathroom was one of the biggest moldy ones I've seen in a hotel. The tub had a solid black mold ring, and the hotel soaps had already been used. The heater couldn't get the room above 65° even when I set it to 78° for the night. The early-2000s lights and TV, unstable Wi-Fi, and thin walls that let me hear conversations across the hotel didn't help. Two bars on the bed's box spring catch your shin whenever you get out of bed. At least the lobby was organized and check-in was handled properly.

The staff were excellent, and the free breakfast was nice. The room was very clean, the beds comfortable, and the shower had amazing water pressure. It was a bargain for the room. We're usually picky about hotels, but this will be our regular stop in Jackson when we travel from Houston to Nashville.

The room had a musty smell, and it looked like someone had just been in there having a good time, possibly staff members. Sheets and pillows had makeup and other stains; the towels were dirty, even though they'd been folded neatly. I booked because the reviews looked surprisingly good, so this was disgusting and disappointing. The front desk offered another room, but the hotel had already put me off. It was a real inconvenience for my family and me to look for another affordable place late at night. Please don't stay here.

It's in a convenient location, and the service was good. The hotel is quiet, though loud cars from the street can be heard sometimes. Rooms are decent, with a good fridge and microwave, and the shower has plenty of hot water. There are nice amenities for the price, but unfortunately the TV didn't work.
