I came to visit my older brother, who’s a Marine, and this was the closest place to stay near the camp. The location was really good, and they checked my family in at 11:30. The room was mid, not gonna lie, but it wasn’t as bad as I expected. The service was amazing.

The location works well for families visiting their Marine. That’s about the only positive I can give. The room was very dated, and there was black mold in the bathroom. My son started calling it the Blackmold Inn. Keep this place as a last option.

The clean, crisp sheets, new laminate floor, comfortable bed, and clean bathroom with good pressure and hot water were the good parts. The room was very outdated, though, and for the price it was just okay. We’d ridden a motorcycle from the Outer Banks through heavy rain and just needed somewhere to sleep. Apart from free Wi-Fi, there were basically no amenities. There was an ice machine but nothing to put the ice in, no cups or hair dryer, no hangers in the closet, and the microwave was broken. There was even a car Christmas tree deodorizer in the closet. A few of the things you’d expect at a motel would have earned it a much better rating.

That Coke machine was a bargain, just $1 for a 20 oz. We were on a bicycle trip, and the hotel fit right along our route. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the rate reasonable. No complaints.
