Courtyard by Marriott Jacksonville at Mayo Clinic Campus/Beaches

I got this room through a work package and it was really great. I’d had dental surgery just before checking in, so I didn’t make it down to the restaurant, bar, or breakfast area until Wednesday evening. I missed out! Taylor and Mark were amazing at their jobs. They made me feel comfortable and welcome, and their guest service made the place feel like the best place to be. Please don’t let these two go. They’re a big reason I’d want to come back again and again.

Being right across from the Mayo Clinic and within walking distance is the main advantage of this old hotel. Inside, noise carries from neighboring rooms, including doors shutting, toilets flushing, and footsteps. If you can, I’d look at other places to stay.

We picked this hotel for its convenient access to The Mayo Clinic, and the shuttle between the hotel and hospital made the trip stress-free. The staff were understanding and very accommodating when I wasn’t sure if I’d need an extra day because of the hospital. They told me not to worry and that I could keep the room if I needed it, and said they work closely with hospital patients. We had a stress-free trip. Thank you, Courtyard by Marriott!

The walls are thin, and I imagine it could be noisy if you weren’t on the top floor. But it was still very quiet during our stay, since many guests are recovering from procedures. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, a 10/10. The rooms are dated, though the bed was clean and comfortable.
