Days Inn Jacksonville Airport

For an affordable price, this place has clean rooms, a clean pool, and an on-site laundry room. The staff are very nice and there whenever you need them. I liked it enough to extend my stay.

After booking through Priceline and paying ahead for our trip home, we got checked in and then saw the room. The smell was rotten smoke mixed with mold and funk. The sheets were dirty, the floor was filthy, bugs were crawling around, and there was rust everywhere. The door looked like a crime scene, and it was broken and set behind a covering, so I hoped whatever was behind it was locked. There was a fridge and microwave, plus half a glass of water. The bathroom had broken glass and a dime on the floor, a dirty tub, and mold that might as well have been decoration. Before getting back in the car, we had to weave around a broken BBQ pit and a rolling desk chair. I also saw other guests behind us, and their rooms hadn't been made or even attempted. I don't know how this place has three stars, it felt more like minus three. Do yourself a favor and skip it. Spend the extra $70 and stay at the Loft.

I needed a room and a pool, and this place came through. The staff were really friendly and made the stay even better. If you need somewhere near the airport, give them a call.

The staff were friendly and helpful, but the basics were missing. No breakfast, no toothpaste if you'd left yours behind, no coffee pot despite cups in the room, and I couldn't get to the ice machine. There wasn't a vending machine or a tub drain stopper either. This was during a management change.
