La Quinta Inn & Suites Jacksonville Butler Blvd

My wife and I couldn't get proper rest at La Quinta Inn & Suites on Butler Blvd in Jacksonville. We were first put on the 5th floor, where kids kept running and making noise overhead. The room phone didn't work when we tried calling the desk to report it and ask for another room. After we moved, someone knocked at about 1:40 AM. The employee said her name was Lauren or Laria and explained her boss had told her to knock on guest doors to find out which rooms were vacant, because the previous shift hadn't updated the system. We told her how frustrating it was to be woken up, and she was dismissive, saying she didn't care because her boss had instructed her to do it. The phone in this room didn't work either, which raised concerns for us about communication and guest safety. We've stayed in many hotels and never had anything like this happen. It showed a lack of professionalism, respect for guests, and basic management. We hope the managers and corporate leadership address it, but based on our experience we can't recommend this location.
