Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites JACKSONVILLE by IHG

We left rather than stay after the woman who works here with Sam yelled at us and threatened to call the “cops” because I had my registered service dog. We’d told reservations we had dogs when we booked, but she didn’t ask anything, she just yelled. They did try to apologize and asked us not to leave, but there was no way I was staying after that. Luckily our electricity was back on. The room wasn’t very clean anyway, and there were toilets stacked along the side of the property, which was weird. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

The room was comfortable, quiet, and clean even though renovations were going on. My only concern was the TV placement. A closet partly blocks the view, which would have been a problem if my coworker had been with me. The front desk woman was courteous and helpful. I’ll stay here again when I’m in Jacksonville.

At 00:30 hrs 4/26/2026, a wedding party was making a ton of noise, with kids and adults running around and yelling. I called the front desk, and they said they knew about it but couldn’t do anything. I’ve been here 16 days for business, but I won’t stay again. The hotel staff offered terrible support.

The staff were friendly, the room was clean as usual, and breakfast was good, with the typical complimentary IHG options. There were boxes in one section of the breakfast area and signs apologizing for any inconvenience while improvements were underway. The rooms had old yellow lighting and beige walls that made them look dingy and a bit depressing. Better lighting, fixtures, furniture, bedding, and other upgrades could bring this up from its 2 star status to a 3. Jacksonville TX was more convenient for the business I needed to do, but staying in Tyler would have been more comfortable.
