I’m still staying here, and a few things have come up that weren’t in the staff’s control. They’ve gone out of their way to deal with them and make things as pleasant as they can. Angel especially has been looking out for me. Thanks to everyone at Noble Suites for making this motel feel like home.

We had no hot water for four days, and the plumbing problems were so bad we had to use the gas station bathroom. Showers were freezing. When we checked in, nobody mentioned the water issue, and they wouldn’t discount the room. We paid over $700, then were made to leave a day early even though that day was already paid for. There were roaches in the room, and people who seemed to be using drugs kept asking us for things whenever we went outside. The morning front desk woman had a horrible attitude. This was the worst hotel we’ve ever stayed in. I’d never come back or recommend it.

The room I was moved to had a loud air conditioner that blew out a moldy smell. I spent the next 45 minutes killing mosquitoes, other flying bugs, and German cockroaches. At least I didn’t find bed bugs. When I went to ask for bug spray, the attendant first wanted to know what kind of bug it was, then asked my room number and told me online reservations weren’t refundable. I said I was asking for spray, not a refund, and she ignored me to help some servicemen. I’d already had to change rooms. The first one had no obvious ceiling light, and someone had covered the smoke detector with what looked like plastic from a washing machine protector and a modified baseball cap. Its door wouldn’t latch securely, there was no solid material behind the faceplate, and it had no top latch. I’d hauled my things from my car before checking the lock. In the replacement, room 207, the door did lock and had a top latch, but there was a strong marijuana smell from next door and a large gouge in the floor where the broken door sweep screw had torn it up. I arrived in Jacksonville late after a long drive, and my usual hotel was full, so this was a miserable way to end the trip. The security man onsite seemed friendly, though he clearly watched women walking by. I had to park around the side because the second floor stairs are only accessible from the back. The room and bathroom were filthy. I took pictures of dirt and grime on the floors, dead bugs, mold under the sink, a rag left under a leak, a showerhead held with duct tape, heavy buildup on the faucet, and rust and black mold on the bathroom ceiling. I sent pictures with my reservation complaint, though I don’t have them on this device. This property is horribly maintained and does not meet basic health or safety conditions. Don’t stay here.

Ms. Fara and her staff are good people. I had a nice stay, and they make sure you can get a good night’s sleep and feel that your family would be safe here.
