Quality Inn Jacksonville near Little Rock Air Force Base

I was staying there while a house was being renovated before I moved in, and this was the closest hotel. The manager acted as if the packages I had delivered were a personal offense. He objected to the boxes arriving and being kept in the bedroom until they were needed at the job site. At checkout I asked staff to let me know if anything hadn't arrived yet, but they said the manager had requested that all packages be returned to sender. The manager's communication with me was hostile and dismissive enough that I felt unsafe. His instructions to staff were unclear too. I was told room service came every other day, then that it came daily when he requested it. I never got a clear answer. The other hotel staff were different, but management showed no hospitality or consideration. I've stayed in hundreds of hotels and never felt so unwelcome. The manager made me cry, and I had to ask him to change his tone when speaking to me in front of my children. I stopped going to breakfast or using the front entrance when he was on duty. Stay at your own risk.

The roadworks right outside made driving around confusing and messy, though that's not something the manager controls. Inside, the hotel was well kept and quiet. The beds were hard, as you'd expect in an older place, so I was glad I'd brought my egg crate mattress. My room had what I needed, and breakfast was good each morning. I was in town for my uncle's funeral when the snow and ice storm hit on Jan 18th. We couldn't drive anywhere, and the manager kindly let me stay longer than planned. He was accommodating when I had to go downstairs and reregister about three times. There weren't many guests, but quite a few guys from Asphundh tree service were waiting for a call. I'd stay again and recommend it to friends.

Our stay was great, though the microwave in our room didn't work. Breakfast didn't have many choices, but what they had was good, and the waffle was amazing.

The room itself was decent, as was the hotel, and breakfast was okay. But that rose water perfume smell was unbearable. I don't usually leave bad reviews, but it was so strong I had to ditch the cardboard scent thing in the hallway. The cleaning lady put it back the next day, too. If they're trying to cover up cigarette smoke, the perfume is ten times worse. Quality Inn, you can do better.
