Studio 6 Extended Stay - Jacksonville, FL - Baymeadows

Steve was wonderful and the staff were great, but the room had a lot of problems. There was no remote, trash can, or warm blanket, and we had only two towels. Worst of all, the shower didn’t work. The website showed a $69 charge, but the bill came to $99. I was disappointed with the accommodations, especially with no working shower.

My 19 year old son needed a room for the night after spending three days at the races, before heading home to South Carolina. I called more than 20 hotels, and none would let him stay, even though their websites said 19 year olds could rent rooms. This was the only place that accepted him. 29 stars for that.

We booked for the weekend to celebrate my anniversary and my husband’s birthday, hoping for a relaxing, memorable time with my family. Instead, it was horrible. Our first room hadn’t been cleaned and had no sheets. The front desk attendant understood, but the second room had feces in the toilet. My husband and I went to the office to tell the manager and staff. The manager had an unbelievable attitude and called maintenance to deal with it, but the problem couldn’t be fixed, so they moved us again. The room had poor lighting, there was no housekeeper for the whole weekend, and we got no clean towels or service.

The roaches were the worst I’ve ever seen. They crawled around inside the refrigerator, so I had to keep my clothes in the freezer. Some got into my bag, and I had to shake them out of my lunch bag. I would never stay here again. There were also no visits from maid service to take out the trash or bring fresh towels, and the other guests made for a very uncomfortable scene. Stephen at the front desk did have excellent customer service. He brought up the missing items himself, including batteries for the remote, a trash can, and face towels. But the room was positively infested with cockroaches, and the rest of the experience was awful.
