Travelodge by Wyndham Low Moor Near Covington

The room was clean, the Wi-Fi worked great, parking was easy, and we had no issues. Nothing fancy, but it was exactly as described, which is why it gets five stars. There’s a diner attached that’s open 24/7. We didn’t try it, but it would be convenient if you’d been on the road for a while.

For 100 bucks, this was a great motel. The manager handled my check-in and checkout and was really friendly and kind. The rooms haven’t been updated, but they were clean, and I didn’t have to wrestle with the television to watch TV like at most hotels. I don’t drink coffee, so they gave me a free Pepsi when I checked out. The diner was adorable and smelled great, too.

The staff are very nice, the diner has good food, and everything looks clean and orderly. But every room I’ve been in has had a musty smell, like mildew or a wet dog. Somehow you can’t smell it in the hallways, then you open the room door and it’s gag-worthy.

It was just fine. The bed was comfortable and the TV worked, which was what I cared about. The drain stoppers didn’t work properly, so they were left off to the side, and the curtain rods had come loose. The listing says there’s a 24/7 diner, but it’s really Penny’s Diner with a hotel in the parking lot!
