Connor Hotel

The bed was the most comfortable one we’d slept in, just what we needed after a long travel day. John at the front desk, which also has a gift shop, greeted us warmly and got us settled quickly. Our room was clean, and the location was perfect for getting around. There’s a bar saloon next door, great BBQ down the street, and a ghost tour across from the hotel that I highly recommend. Our quick overnight visit was perfect, and we had a wonderful time.

Once we parked, we could walk everywhere since the hotel is centrally located. We were lucky to find a space right out front, though parking can be tricky, so packing light might be a good idea. We stayed in room 5 for an overnight visit and it was cozy and comfortable. I had one of the best nights of sleep in my life. The bed was that good, and the heater by the bed didn’t bother me at all or make noise. There was popcorn, coffee, tea, water, and a microwave in the room, with plenty of space for our things. The bathroom was big but shallow. In hindsight, I would’ve brought just an overnight bag because you have to carry your things upstairs. It was a fantastic stay, and we’ll definitely stay again if we’re back through town.

You’re right in the middle of downtown, so we didn’t need to drive anywhere. The location was perfect, and the view was nice. The place has a quaint, old-school feel, with original brick and doors. It can get a little noisy, but it wasn’t overwhelming. The gentleman at the front desk was really friendly and made us feel welcome.

Parking was a bit tricky at first, and we had to leave the car quite far away. After other travelers left, a spot opened right in front of the hotel and I was able to move it. The staff at The Connor Hotel were so friendly and welcoming to us and our dog. Our room was cozy, and the TV had cable, a nice amenity I hadn’t expected. After a long day walking up and down Jerome, the huge bathtub made for the most peaceful little soak. We absolutely loved our stay and can’t wait to return!
