My room looked freshly renovated and was clean and tidy. The problem was the noise: people kept passing through the corridor from other rooms until midnight, then again early in the morning. Doors slammed and guests talked loudly out there, so expect a lot of noise if you sleep here. I think some guests may rent rooms by the month with their families, which could explain the heavy traffic.

This place was a dump, with dirty, smelly rooms. It felt more like a shelter than a hotel. Expedia did me in, though it’s my fault for being cheap. I should’ve paid more and stayed somewhere nice. 😡😡🤯😱

This is part two of my rant about this horrible hotel. The first part is on Expedia under Rose. We’d left our old room after the toilet flooded, and the replacement faced the highway, with nonstop traffic noise. We fell asleep to a couple next door "dancing" for three minutes and to the heavy doors slamming. The neighborhood was quaint, but every morning meant climbing a huge hill spanning five blocks to reach the only buses in the area. Sure, you could take an Uber, if you have money to burn: a ride from there into Manhattan averaged over 60 American dollars. Why stay here if you can afford that? The only good part of the trip was leaving and writing this review to warn people. The hotel was so bad I wouldn’t let my dead grandma stay there. We also saw a cockroach the morning we left, so good luck to the next unlucky guests.

The breakfast they advertise wasn’t there. All I saw was a very worn, dirty coffee machine. The vending machine took my dollar, and the night manager said it sometimes does that, then told me I’d have to pay another dollar to get what I wanted. Front desk manager Sam was rude. I asked for a non-smoking room and got a smoking one. There were roaches, and the food machinery hadn’t been cleaned. The hotel was in a disgusting state, with a terrible entrance from the road. There are a hundred other options nearby that I wish I’d chosen. Avoid this place even if it’s the cheapest; spend the extra couple of dollars for somewhere else.
