Dharma Home Suites JC at Grove Station

I only discovered this spot today while walking by as I pet-sat for a friend, and somehow ended up here three times: breakfast, lunch, then dinner after work interrupted my lunch. Everyone was so nice. The portions aren't skimpy, the food tastes great, and the drinks are really good too. Prices are amazing, so I don't think you'll regret stopping in. I totally recommend it and will probably be back while I'm in the area.

Those fries are a must. It's a classic place with solid bar food, better than most. The front patio is great, and in winter they enclose it and put heaters out, so you can sit outside and still stay warm.

I've brought friends here since moving to NJ, and I've had a good time on my earlier visits. Jake usually serves me and makes it a great experience, but he wasn't working tonight. I won't be coming back after what happened today. On the first 60+ degree day in NY/ NJ, I arrived wearing my prescribed glasses with red tint. The server checked my ID at the door, which was fine, then said sunglasses weren't allowed in the bar. I explained they were prescription glasses, but he told me I had to show him my prescription to get in. I showed him photos of myself wearing them, and that still wasn't enough. There was also a guy in the back wearing sunglasses. I felt discriminated against and like he was looking for a reason not to serve me. Even if that wasn't his intention, I think he could have handled it with more understanding. I'm really disappointed.

You need a code to use the bathroom. The bar has a lively vibe and good music, and the other patrons are friendly too. Staff and bartenders are really nice. The $2.25 happy-hour shrimp tacos are tasty and come four to an order. The drinks are just okay.
