Inn at Jim Thorpe

We stayed at 44 West Broadway, a quiet spot that worked perfectly for us. There was a shared sitting area and a little food prep space with coffee, tea, and a microwave, plus a patio. It was nice to mingle with a few other guests. Staff at 44 were especially helpful, and the team at The Inn at Jim Thorpe were great from booking through the end of our stay. I do think a good review is deserved.

Our stay was wonderful, and the rooms were spacious, very clean, and in a perfect location. The front desk team was friendly and shared useful information about the area. Breakfast was the one disappointment. The eggs seemed barely cooked, with a milky substance running onto the plate, while the home fries were overdone and hard as a stone. When I asked to have the item removed from the check, I was told the chef said the eggs were cooked, but that half the item's cost would be taken off. I felt that was poor customer service and could come across as protecting their ego over The Inns reputation. Still, it didn't take away from an otherwise wonderful stay.

After a day exploring the Lehigh Gorge and checking out the downtown shops, it was a joy to relax at the Inn. Our room was cozy and clean, and the staff were welcoming and had plenty of local tips. The Jim Thorpe Inn's old fashioned character and rustic charm felt like stepping back in time, while still giving us the modern comforts we needed. Its spot right in the heart of town was ideal, just steps from shops, restaurants, and the train station. We had a wonderful weekend getaway.

I spent two nights there in March to see the town and get a break from the city. The rooms and hallways were very clean, and the Inn had an antique feel while still being well cared for. It's by the entrance to town, close to the attractions. I had a great stay and would recommend it.
