12/30/2025 - My day visit to Juneau turned into an overnight stay when heavy snow led to a canceled flight. I travel for business a lot, so I called Four Points to ask if they had a room, and they did. The front desk was wonderful. Two agents greeted me and were compassionate about my situation. They even gave me some toiletries for the unexpected night in town. The room was cozy and nice, with a wonderful mountain view. A great experience.

Angie at the front desk, possibly a manager, and Henry, the security guard, made the stay feel genuinely welcoming. They’re warm, professional, and kept going above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and enjoying myself. I’m from South Carolina, where people talk about “Southern hospitality,” but I’ve never felt it as authentically as I did here. Angie and Henry show what hospitality should be, attentive without hovering, kind without putting on a show, and sincerely invested in guests’ comfort. They made a good hotel stay memorable. I’d feel better if they each got their own hotel so they could show everyone how it’s done!

The room was around 100 degrees, and opening the window only brought it down to 80, even in winter. The tub was clogged and never fixed, the elevator was down most of the time, and there was no hot coffee in the early hours while staff just sat there. Breakfast is supposed to be at 6:30, but it wasn’t ready, and we had places to be. There was no TV for days. Staff blamed the weather, though the TV in the lobby worked just fine. Night staff played on their phones and didn’t greet or look at you. They need new management. I’d never stay again, and Marriott is losing my business!

The front desk was kind and helpful, and the GM made sure I could check in early, which was really nice. They provide good customer service. I really enjoyed staying here.

The restaurant wasn’t good. I spoke with the GM after the food arrived cold, and she adjusted the charge. She was helpful, said they’re working to improve it, and pointed us to nearby breakfast options. The rooms are nice and clean. Day staff were easygoing and got us in early because we’re Marriott members. I come to Juneau every year, and this is one of the better hotels here. I’ll be back next year.
