Quality Inn Jonesville I-77

The remodeling looks really nice, and I love the tap keys. Nancy at the front desk was clearly a pro. At first I thought she was the GM, but she said she wasn't. She knew how to handle everything quickly, and it was obvious she likes her job and helping people. Thanks so much for all your help, Nancy. AAA+++ from me.

The breakfast was great, and the lobby looked really pretty with its fall decorations. The room itself was average, though. The bathroom exhaust fan didn't work, there was mold on the ceiling behind the door, and the grab bar in the tub was loose. There's a pool, but it was being renovated while we were there. My great-granddaughter had really been looking forward to swimming. When I booked, there was no warning that it wouldn't be available.

We ended up in Dobson at an amazing Hampton Inn, where the staff welcomed us, the pool and room were clean, and there was a great restaurant nearby. That was the one good thing about this whole situation. My husband booked this hotel through hotels.com for a Valentine's Day getaway because it advertised an indoor pool. When we arrived, the sign said the hotel was renovating, and the woman at the desk confirmed the pool wasn't available. She claimed the website had said so, but we showed her there was no such notice. We were upset because we'd paid for something we couldn't use and couldn't get our money back. My husband asked her to call her boss so he could speak with the manager. She made a call and hung up. We didn't raise our voices or do anything beyond asking for the boss, but then a police officer arrived and said they'd been called about a disturbance. He asked us to talk outside. I couldn't believe they'd called the police. It was completely uncalled for. The officer seemed to understand why we were frustrated and tried to help find us another hotel with a pool. He went back inside, then came out and said the manager would let us schedule a time to use the pool once it was finished. We agreed, but after leaving we decided we never want to return, so we'll just lose our money. I'm a law-abiding citizen and have never been so appalled. If you take a chance on staying here, don't show your frustration unless you want the police called, in my opinion, stay far away.

Debbie, the woman who checked us in, was very nice. The room was clean but dated when we arrived around 7 pm on 11/20/25. We had our well-trained service dog, and an older dog was in the next room. We left at 5 am, with the room in the same condition as when we found it, the door locked, and the key returned to the front desk. When I checked my statement at home, there was a pet cleaning fee, supposedly because someone had tracked dog mess into the room. There wasn't any sign of mess in or near our room when we left. My dog hadn't pooped until our first rest area, so my only conclusion is that the cleaning staff tracked it in and later noticed it. They sent me a photo taken much later that day of the outside of the door, with nothing from inside. Be warned, take pictures of your room when you leave. They'll add charges I believe are unfounded.
