Holiday Inn Express & Suites Jourdanton-Pleasanton

The place was clean and nice, and everyone I dealt with was pleasant. But I was on the third floor and the elevator was out. Nobody had told me beforehand, and all I got was a “sorry about that.” That really stunk.

My stay was great, though the elevator wasn't working and the dryer was busted. Hopefully they get those things fixed before future guests arrive.

Audra made us feel welcome right from check-in, and the front desk, housekeeping, and breakfast staff were all kind and attentive. We were working a booth at the Poteet Strawberry Festival, and after those long days it was great to return to a quiet, clean, spacious room and unwind. Getting to the festival was easy, and the hotel was far enough from the activity to get some rest. Restaurants and shopping were only a short drive away, too. It felt like a home away from home, and we were grateful for the stay. I'd recommend Holiday Inn Express to people visiting the area, especially during festival season.

At checkout I found I’d been charged for a hand soap bottle that wasn’t in the room during my stay. I hadn’t raised the missing soap when I arrived and had used the body wash instead, since I needed to get on with my day. Next time I’ll tell the front desk about anything missing right away. I was staying here for work, and the bathroom was stuffy because its extractor fan didn’t work. There wasn’t any hand soap in the room either. I’m frustrated to have paid for an item that was missing, and expect better attention to detail. Hotel mistakes shouldn’t be charged to the guest.
