Budget Host Platte Valley Inn

A basic motel that was clean, had everything supplied, and had working equipment. The price was manageable, though a few dollars more than I thought it was worth. Check-in at the front desk went smoothly, and the man there gave us directions to our room and the Wi-Fi details without being asked. There are a few places to eat nearby, and it's close to the highway. Getting there would normally be convenient from Highway 80, but closures on Highways 80 and 30 added around 1.5 hours to our trip.

The room was bigger and cleaner than I expected when I first pulled in, and it was peaceful. This is an older but well-kept hotel, and for a stopover it was a pleasant surprise. The owner or manager who checked me in was really nice. They warned me that the pet area was full of spurs and pointed out a safer place for my service animal. I slept well for the price. The king-size bed was comfortable, although I would've liked fuller pillows, and the air conditioning worked wonderfully. There was a chair and ottoman, plus a desk chair on wheels at the table. The room also had a TV, refrigerator, and microwave.

The diner downtown delivered an amazing breakfast for dinner, which was a nice treat after we checked in. The weather was rough, but check-in was quick and the staff were so kind. The rooms are a little dated, though we were comfortable and felt safe. The lot was well lit, and parking our trailer was no problem. My chihuahua also loved the grassy area, which was very clean. I enjoyed my night here. Thank you!

We were traveling across several states with two dogs and a cat, towing a cargo trailer, and had plenty of space for the truck and trailer. The clean driveway and parking area worked well for the dogs, and there was a large grassy area. Having the room doors open to the outside made things much easier with the pets. Our room was spacious, with two queen beds, and had hot showers. It was a great room for the price, with just $10 charged per pet. We'd definitely stay again.
