The lake view was nice, but little else about this stay worked for us. My son and I paid $213 a night with taxes included for apartment 282, I think, beside the lobby at parking lot level. We needed a suite so we could cook, but the apartment seemed to be falling apart. The floor dipped slightly in places, especially in the bathroom and the kitchen/living/dining area, possibly from a settling subfloor. The bathroom floor slanted too, and there was nowhere at all to put our things. The stove didn't work, and neither did two of its four burners. The shower barely produced water, more of a weak trickle than a shower. The ceiling acoustic material was peeling in spots. My son was going to use the couch bed, but its sheets had human hair on them, and the blanket had crusted stains of who knows what. This place needs serious corrective and preventive maintenance and investment, both for how it looks and for safety.

We had a nice lake view and a quiet room at a reasonable rate, close enough to the June Lake Jamfest venue. The only things that bothered me were having just one room key and the AC outlets being so worn that my power adapters wouldn't stay in place. We stayed last year and will probably return next year.

June Lake looked incredible from the hotel, and it was peaceful and quiet, a lovely setting for relaxing outdoors. The building and rooms felt worn and dated, though. We had popcorn ceilings, mismatched furniture, water marks above and scuffs on the walls where past guests had apparently leaned fishing rods or snowboards. The balcony was a nice feature, but its old astroturf and spider webs were off-putting, and webs showed up around the property too. It wasn't dirty, but plenty of things looked like they could lead to a lawsuit. It seems like it might have been charming in the 60s and perhaps redone in the 90s, with only patchwork work since then. If a quiet place with a striking view and an old-fashioned feel suits you, it could work. I'd hesitate if you want something modern or are traveling with children or anyone accident-prone.

We found the service friendly, and the hotel was quiet and just a short walk from town. Our room looked toward June Lake and the mountains, though only partly. It was clean, but the place felt old and not very well kept. I can see why someone wanting a retro lodge might like it, but I have mixed feelings too.

The room was quiet, the bed comfortable, and the clean sheets and towels made for a warm, dry night. We were glad to find a king bed with a lake view, and the woman at reception was friendly and got us a lower price than some I saw online. We'd been driving up 395, trying to find a campsite for the fifth night in a row, but dark clouds came in and we decided to look for a hotel near June Lake. This place felt like stepping onto a 60s movie set. My main complaint was too few outlets for charging devices. The carpet seemed newer, and we woke up rested enough to carry on.
