June Lake Villager

Room 109 was a one-bedroom suite with two queen beds in the bedroom, a pullout in the living room, and a nice bathroom with lots of shelves. That pullout was the most comfortable one I've ever slept on. The room had a full kitchen stocked with coffee, and parking was easy. It's a lovely motel, recently remodeled, sparkling clean, and comfortable. The front desk gal was great. We were blown away by this gem. It's easy to reach from the main highway and about 15-20 minutes from the Mammoth Lake area.

June Lake has plenty to offer outdoors, and the lodge is within walking distance of it all. Parking can be limited depending on the unit, but it wasn't a big problem for us. One strange thing is that the doors have no interior security lock, so anyone with a key can walk in. The brewery food truck down the street had the best food in town, in our opinion, and the beer was great. The diner across the street wasn't that good.

After several days of camping, this room was a welcome change. It was comfortable and had everything I needed, the AC worked well, and I got the best sleep of the trip. There's an ice machine and plenty of outdoor spots to take in the views. June Lake and Gull Lake are an easy walk away. The front desk staff were friendly and hospitable, and made both check-in and learning about the area easy. No complaints, I'd definitely stay here again.

The location was great, and the people working there were lovely. I wasn't sure what to expect from the reviews, but the room my dog and I got was very clean and clearly recently renovated. As a solo traveler, I just wish there were more rooms near the lobby.
