Hampton Inn and Suites by Hilton Maui North Shore

We had an ocean view, and the hotel’s large back property with ocean views and private beach was a real plus. There’s also a nice pool, and it’s close to the Saturday Swap Meet, a great time to shop for souvenirs in Maui. The complimentary breakfast was solid, with enough choices to start the day. The property felt new, modern, quiet, and peaceful, and it was well maintained and very clean. Our room was comfortable, well kept, and also felt new. The staff were helpful. Food was good overall, though vegetarian and vegan options were quite limited, so more variety would have been appreciated. We had a great stay and would recommend it.

The oceanfront king suite was huge and had a great view. The lobby was open and comfortable, with plenty of seating and a restaurant. We thought the restaurant food was pretty good, though breakfast was just okay. The hotel is new, and as Hampton Inns go, it was otherwise quite nice. We chose it as a base for hiking around Maui. It’s near the airport, shops, and restaurants, but probably not the right spot if you’re coming for the beach. We’re Hilton Diamond members, and left disappointed. We went around Christmas when the hotel was fully booked. Since it’s pet friendly, our otherwise new room had a strong pet odor. Staff did very little to help, so we ended up buying a bottle of Febreze at a local store. The nightly cost was far too high to justify that, especially when we’d had high hopes for this hotel.

I traveled with my daughter and three grandchildren for a full week in Lahaina, then chose the Hampton Inn for our last day so we’d be closer to the airport. I’m glad I did. The team made that final day of my trip, which was for my granddaughter’s birthday, especially sweet and memorable. Ms. Tricia, Fe, Bronson, the bar staff, housekeeping, maintenance, and everyone else we met were warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. They went out of their way to help with our luggage, airport shuttle arrangements, food, drinks, and room reservation, all with kindness and care. The hospitality and professionalism stood out, and the service for my family and me was unmatched. We felt welcomed, supported, and valued. I’ll absolutely return and highly recommend this location to anyone looking for rest, enjoyment, and great customer service.

The bar menu is the best I’ve had among the Hampton Inns where I stay for work, and Hilton brands are my preference. The dinner menu is a different story from the standard breakfast, which is solid but not something you’d post on Instagram. Their poke bowl was the best I’ve had in a long time. This is a clean, well-run place with a new building and rooms in great condition. The hotel services are on point, and the staff are friendly and professional. I’ll definitely stay here again next time I’m in Maui.
