Fairfield by Marriott Kalamazoo West

The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, and check-in easy. Pam at the front desk made the biggest difference. She was amazing with our hockey group all weekend. We had the best experience and I’d absolutely recommend it, 10/10.

Breakfast had a great selection and everything tasted fresh: waffles, oats, cereal, apples, toast, bagels, eggs, and turkey sausage. Check-out was easy, and the room was clean, with everything in order, comfortable beds, and a smart TV we used to log into Netflix. The host was accommodating at check-in and took time to explain the perks, including the pool, gym, and free breakfast. We came from Ohio for a Notre Dame game and stayed here instead of paying $800+ in South Bend. The hotel is right off the highway, and the well-lit parking lot felt safe. My only gripe was that the curtains let in all the light, especially with a large commercial lamp right outside our window. There wasn’t a bathtub either, but I should have checked the room details before we arrived.

The staff did a great job keeping our rooms clean and making our holiday stay comfortable. The location was a perfect midpoint for visiting family and finding entertainment without using too much gas. I had to move from the third floor to the first on my last day because a nurse needed sleep. As a Marine vet, I understand how hard both jobs can be, and that we want to serve our country by helping people. I hope the nurse sees this. I’m sorry my kids were loud, and I hope you got enough rest. The breakfast menu could use a change, but we had a great stay and can’t wait to return.

Kaydee at the front desk was kind and professional. The service, room, breakfast, and exercise room were all good, and the place felt clean and safe. The elevator is small and the bathroom sink tiny, but for the price it’s an excellent hotel. We’ll stay here again.
