Best Western Central Inn

We only stayed overnight, arriving at 10pm and leaving at 7am, but it was lovely. After a 17-hour drive, a quick check-in and a clean room made a difference. We didn’t have to wait or inspect the room with disappointment. Everything was clean and in order, from the floors and bathroom to the sheets and pillows, which smelled like fabric softener. We’d never been here before, but the area felt safe. Nothing sketchy was in view, and the stairs and parking lot were well lit. A Waffle House and gas station right across the street were convenient, and historic Savannah was about a 10-minute drive away. I found no drawbacks. I inspected carefully and saw no signs of bed bugs, and the noise wasn’t a problem for us. We’re used to NYC sounds, so a busy environment may not feel relaxing to everyone. We heard two military planes overhead during the night; any others weren’t bothersome enough to wake us.

The only downside for me was the noise from traffic on the street. This is a motel, so you park right outside your room. Otherwise, it was fine, and the people running the place were pleasant. It was as clean as it gets. I didn’t have the breakfast, so I can’t comment on it.

We had a great stay, better than we expected. The rooms were very clean and looked renovated. It’s in a good location, about a 10-minute drive from Savannah center. Breakfast was average, but at this price it’s still a good deal. I’d go back.

Check-in was generally quick and we got our key cards promptly when we arrived in the evening. The rooms were fairly spacious and comfortable, stayed warm on a chilly night, and breakfast was tasty. We were two families paying separately, but the deposit was charged to just one family. The receptionist made a sarcastic joke at check-in; some people might find it funny, while others may see it as unprofessional. At checkout I asked for an invoice, but staff couldn’t provide one because the front desk printer wasn’t working, and they offered no alternative. Payment and invoicing need improvement, and staff should keep interactions professional. Still, I’d recommend it for travelers looking for a comfortable stay with smooth check-in.
