Inside, the staff were helpful and friendly, and the deep woods decor has plenty of stuffed elk, bison, and bears. If taxidermy isn’t your thing, this may not be the place for you. I liked that our room was already cool with the AC on, and the beds were comfortable. It had a roomy shower, large TV, and kitchenette, and the common areas were nice for relaxing, getting a soda, or playing cards. The free breakfast is available, but I wouldn’t recommend it. When someone in our group needed a plunger, staff said they didn’t have one on site, which seemed odd for a hotel. Getting there meant driving through a mobile home park, which felt a bit daunting. Still, it worked well as an affordable stop while we traveled through the state.
There were several common areas where we could relax, and our room had a nice open kitchen and living space. The free laundry room was conveniently close to us. The lobby and shared spaces were decorated beautifully, as was the room, and the staff were friendly when we arrived and left. We highly recommend the Inn if you’re staying near Glacier.
The rooms have a cozy, cabin-like feel, with nice decor and personal touches. It isn’t as refined in style as a Marriott or Hilton, but the homey atmosphere suits Montana well. The free laundry and pool table were a nice bonus. I’ve stayed twice and will come back.
It’s tucked away somewhere quiet, so I slept well without the traffic noise I often hear. My room was clean and nicely arranged, basically a suite with a separate bedroom, for less than I usually pay for a plain motel room. There are lots of comfortable spots around the facility to meet for coffee, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. This is my new favorite place to stay in Kalispell.
The room was clean and the beds were comfortable, and the night staff were friendly. But the WiFi was unreliable, and after a long day hiking at Glacier we came back to find the room hadn’t been cleaned. When we asked for a late checkout, they said it cost $20 an hour. We asked for one or two hours complimentary because the room was dirty, and they agreed to give us one free hour. Exactly an hour later, while I was brushing my teeth, they called. I said I needed ten more minutes, and he said to take the rest of the hour and charged us $40. How can an hour be complimentary if we’re charged $40 for ten extra minutes? They could have let us have those ten minutes or charged for a second hour. I’d paid top dollar for two nights, and they hadn’t made up the room during our stay. I’d explained earlier that we were from out of state and hoped to make this an annual trip. Things had gone well until then, but the inflexible, rude treatment put me off. What a shame, because we won’t stay here again.
