Travelodge Kalispell

The bed sheet had red stains that looked like blood, and the room was filthy. The ceiling sagged and had holes in it. I can't tell whether there'd been a shootout or if there were hidden cameras above the bed. The AC was coming out of the wall, held together with duct tape, and you could see outside through it onto a shared balcony. Even after it ran for almost an hour, the room was still hot. This place is a dump, and I absolutely couldn't recommend it. The price may look tempting compared with other places nearby, but I'd rather spend more than waste money here. The Google photo reviews don't look like what I found. Travelers, be warned. If you've lived in a sewer your whole life, you might feel right at home here.

The bed felt like a sheet of plywood, and the breakfast had very little to choose from: small muffins cut in half, overripe bananas, cereal, and bagels. When things disappeared from my fridge, staff didn't seem to care. After I told them about it around three times, they called the owner, who then hung up on them. The place was dated and run down, and the furnishings looked like they came from a thrift store. This was the poorest accommodation I've ever experienced.

I checked out the next morning, and the woman working there had her kids running around, which wasn't a good look. The room had been cleaned and the sheets were clean, but the walls were dirty, the couch was odd and stained, and the wiring inside was a joke. Only two of the five lights worked. The new laminate floor was sticky when I came in, like they'd used the wrong cleaner. The shower had no pressure, and the shower head hit me in the chest. I'm 5'10". I needed a room and gave it a chance after reading the reviews, but I won't be back. I'd rather pay an extra $100,00 down the street.

We spent three nights there and only saw room service when we checked in. I hung up my towels, though my husband didn't, and we got by. At first, when we drove in, I thought we'd made a mistake, but our room was in the new building and was very nice. Even though it was on the street, it was quiet.
