Dutch Country Inn

In the middle of the night, I ended up wandering around the motel with my luggage because their note said I had a second-floor room. I checked the second-floor rooms, and it turned into a wild goose chase. Not cool.

There isn't much around here, just a Subway and one Mexican restaurant that I noticed, so there weren't really other options. The homemade Amish cinnamon rolls I'd read about were good, and the breakfast also had cereal, I think packets of oatmeal, granola bars, bread, and bagels. No waffle maker for anyone hoping for waffles. The front of this old-school motel looked charming, which got me excited to stay. Our room was around the back on the second floor, though, and it didn't feel nearly as quaint. The trash by the back door smelled so bad I held my breath going in and out. The room itself was okay, not modern, but that's Amish country. I got a kick out of the Bible quote above the beds, and the quilt was really nice, just the right weight.

The pillows were soft and comfortable, though the bed felt a little too firm for me. Everything was very clean, and while the hotel is a bit outdated, it's well maintained.

We were in town for a job, and the staff was amazing. The rooms were lovely and very clean, and breakfast was great. Those cinnamon rolls were sooo good, definitely suggest staying here!
