Sonesta Select Kansas City South Overland Park

We had a good time and would use this hotel again when we're back in KC. My wife and I stayed for the NASCAR race in Kansas. The courtyard more than made up for the balcony being closed because of construction. We liked sitting there in the mornings and evenings and met some nice people. Staff were friendly, and our clean room had plenty of towels and washcloths. The outlets by the bed were great. The TV was fuzzy and missed some channels, though we mostly wanted it for background sound at night. There were no trash bags in the bins, so we had to get them from the front desk, but that wasn't a big deal to us. Breakfast wasn't available, despite what the website showed, and that's probably our biggest complaint. We went to the Cracker Barrel across the street. The pool is permanently closed, which we couldn't understand, though it didn't matter to us; I know it would matter to some guests. The hotel is under construction and doesn't look great from the road right now.

I've stayed here several times and the staff have been wonderful each time. Robin, the manager, deserves five out of five, and Kehlani is also helpful and great at her job. The room quality feels right for the price. Highly recommend.

My second-floor room had a balcony, which was nice. The hotel is clean and a good value, though a little worn. A great place to stay.

Everything was remarkably clean and comfortable during our stay. The room looks modern, with newer furniture and carpet, and has quality mattresses, pillows, bedding, and towels. We were pleasantly surprised and would happily return. I can highly recommend staying here.
