The staff were really nice, and the room was clean with plenty of space. The shower pressure was fantastic. But the walls let through every sound from the corridor and nearby rooms, the bed was rock hard, and the coffee was the worst I’ve had at a hotel. It’s clean and fine for a single night, I guess.

The front desk woman was helpful and very pleasant. Our room was bright, spacious, and clean, with good AC and lots of TV channels. The lobby looked clean too, and getting to the hotel from I-70 was easy. The price was decent, and we’d stay again.

The bathroom was a mess, with grease and soap scum across the tub and shower. Since we arrived late with our family, I asked the front desk for cleaner so I could disinfect it myself. They told me to bring the spray back. The room itself was roomy and looked clean, but the pillows were awful.

Traveling west with our family of six, we found this to be a quiet, comfortable place to recharge. Our room was clean and well cared for, with comfortable beds and a fresh feel, and the calm atmosphere suited the whole family. The staff were welcoming and respectful from check-in, especially about our support pet. They didn’t challenge us, and that professionalism made us feel safe and valued. We had a wonderful stay at the Comfort Inn in Hays, Kansas, and would happily give it five stars. We’ll remember this stop fondly.

The tub and bathroom looked very worn, and the phone in our room didn’t work. The staff member on duty said they were remodeling. The room was clean.
