We’ve now had two great stays at properties owned by Ryan and David. This time we stayed in the carriage house and loved how secluded it felt. We didn’t have to worry about parking, and we felt safe there. The room and grounds were beautiful, and we’ll definitely be back in the near future.

The Truitt is a delight every time, and this was my third year having a KC staycation here. We stayed at the east location for the first time and enjoyed walking around the property. The art and atmosphere are thoughtfully put together. As before, the rooms were comfortable and beautifully designed, and you can walk to pretty much anything you’d need. Little extras add to the experience, including Christopher Elbow Chocolates at check-in and sparkling wine in the evening. I’ll be back next year and in the years after that.

We didn’t stay nearly long enough, and we’ll definitely return next time we’re in KC. This boutique hotel is right in the heart of historic KC, in a beautiful neighborhood with plenty of good food nearby. The Nelson-Atkins museum is a five-minute walk away, and the Uptown Theater is a five-minute drive. Our room, 2C, was spotless, cozy, and decorated beautifully. We loved it.

The Truitt has become our go-to when we visit KC. It’s quiet, tucked away, and very private, and the one-bedroom suite feels like having your own apartment oasis. This was visit number three, and it was just as wonderful as the first two. I’d give it more stars if I could!

The room was comfortable, clean, and well looked after, with details that felt considered instead of staged. The calm, welcoming atmosphere made it easy to relax and feel at home. The Truitt Hotel has historic character alongside modern comfort, and it feels like a little gem in the city. It’s a charming, quiet place that seems thoughtfully run without trying too hard. If you like understated hospitality and somewhere that feels genuine, it’s a lovely choice. I’d happily stay again, God willing.
