Decanter Inn

The drive there is spectacular, and I liked the quiet setting and lake view. The gentleman who greeted me was very kind, and that service alone would bring me back. I was mainly looking for somewhere to stay while observing the salmon dip netting. The room felt small for the price, though the location is what you’re paying for. It seemed suited to one or two people, and I don’t know whether they have larger rooms. I think calling is the only way to reach the owner or management.

We spent 10 days at the Decanter Inn, and the owner thoughtfully moved us from our regular room into the available apartment because of our group size and length of stay. We really appreciated the upgrade. The owner and staff were friendly and attentive, and our room was comfortable and clean. There’s also a restaurant and bar on site. The downside was the thin walls. A few nights, we could hear enough to make it sound like we were in a brothel. Aside from that, it was a pleasant stay.
