Bob, Dot, and Dawn are what make this place stand out. They treat guests like family and are more helpful than any five-star concierge I’ve met. The property has fishing access, a personal freezer for each room to store your catch, laundry, full kitchens in some units, BBQ grills, and shared firepits beneath gazebos. Rooms are roomy, rustic, comfortable, and have breathtaking views. The beds are as good as they come. You’d spend more on a tiny room in Soldotna than you do here for all this. I’ve stayed all over the Peninsula, but this is the only place I’ve ever reviewed. It’s now my only pick on the Kenai. If they have a room, I’m booking it, and you should too.

Bob and Dot were so kind and accommodating, and the view from the deck over the Kasilof River is amazing. The rooms and beds were very comfortable, while the kitchen and dining spaces were beautiful and had everything we needed. It felt like a little piece of paradise. Saying I’m impressed barely covers it.

Dot and Bob helped turn a stressful moment into one of the most memorable parts of my Alaska trip. I was lost, well away from the route I meant to take, and couldn’t find anyone nearby to help. A few lodges offered little assistance, then I reached the Gallery Lodge Alaska Pottery. A kind woman noticed my headlights and came out to ask what was wrong. After hearing my situation, she went to get her husband. They usually require three nights, but kindly let me stay one night in the Caribou Room. It was one of the most beautiful, nicest rooms I’ve ever had. The lodge is gorgeous, and Dot and Bob were the kindest people I met on the whole trip. I’m so grateful for their generous hospitality and warmth. If you need a cozy, welcoming place in Alaska, you couldn’t ask for better hosts. This made my trip special. I’d give them 100 stars if I could.

The river out front is the only sound, and the lodge sits in a beautiful setting right beside it. Bob and Dot made us feel at home and went out of their way to help. The place has everything we needed, including fishing gear and ranch-fresh eggs. We especially liked the cozy radiant floor heat. Towels, sheets, and bedding were fresh and crisp, and the accommodations were first class. Convenient location too. Five stars, enjoy your stay!

This was our second stay at the Gallery Lodge, and we had a fantastic time with the family again. We went fishing, horseback riding, and took summer sled dog rides. Dot is a wonderful host who clearly cares about her guests, and Sadie was always there to welcome us back from our outings. We’ll return as soon as we can.
