Hampton Inn & Suites Houston Katy

Kaitlin at the front desk and Margarita from the kitchen made my stay memorable. Margarita was attentive and friendly, and took care with the food. Kaitlin greeted me warmly when I arrived, with such cheerful, kind energy that you couldn’t help smiling. Together they made the place feel comfortable and uplifting. They’re both wonderful representatives of the hotel.

We stayed for 10 days in November, and the location was handy for getting around Katy and nearby areas. We love this Hampton in Katy, TX, and will stay here whenever we’re in town. The rooms are always clean and comfortable, and everyone is so kind and helpful. Kaitlin at the front desk is the best. She’s personable, answers questions, and is never too busy to help; check-in is quick and easy. Margarita in the breakfast room always greets us and asks if we need anything. I looked forward to seeing her smile each morning. Thanks to them both for making us feel welcome!

The hotel itself was really quiet and nice, and the overnight employee, whose name I think was Jerrell, was a wonderful person with outstanding customer service. Sorry if I got his name wrong. My experience with the front desk worker on the shift before his was awful, though. Around 7-8 p.m. yesterday, there was a full line of guests waiting while she was dealing with event people. I understand she was alone and asked us to wait a minute, but she saw the line and still made us wait almost 20 minutes. She should’ve told those people she’d get back to them later. When guests arrive at the desk, you stop what you’re doing. That’s basic service.

Brandon was the reason I’d consider returning. He was exceptional at the front desk and spoke with the wonderful cook to make sure our breakfast needs were handled. The other front desk worker, who replaced Brandon, and the manager weren’t very accommodating about dietary restrictions, especially for people who don’t eat meat. All three hot breakfast items had meat. I said other hotels usually provide at least one hot meat-free option, but the manager, and possibly the owner, kept stressing that breakfast was free. I explained that I paid $258 for two nights, or $129 a night, and breakfast was included in the rate. I didn’t say there was nothing I could eat or that other hotels let me order a custom meal. We stayed two days, and the advertised hot tub wasn’t there, which disappointed my kids, who’d been looking forward to it. Thanks for the response, but I’m now staying at a much better hotel in the same area for a comparable price.
