Hampton Inn Manhattan/Times Square Central

The hotel is clean and comfortable, and its spot near Times Square worked really well. But Sonnie and Eddie are what made our visit memorable. Sonnie, the bellman, was constantly helping with bags and greeting people warmly, even when the lobby was busy. He was hardworking, professional, and kind, and made us feel welcome. Eddie at the front desk was patient and friendly, and handled check-in, questions, local suggestions, and special requests with care. The whole team deserves thanks. I’d gladly stay again, and Renate Browne and family send their appreciation too.

We spent five days here in February while our son performed with his High School Honors Band at Carnegie Hall. This was the most affordable hotel in the area, and Times Square was just a block away. The subway station by the hotel on 42st made it easy to get around. The rooms were small, which makes sense for NYC. Breakfast was free and a good way to start each day, and there was complimentary coffee, tea, and hot water in the lobby. There isn’t a microwave in the room, but there is one downstairs. We were very satisfied and would consider staying again on our next NYC visit.

We stayed February 18th to 21st for my daughter’s Sweet Sixteen, and the staff had a lovely surprise waiting for her when we arrived. We were touched by that thoughtful gesture. Everyone we met, from the night guard and receptionists to housekeeping and the breakfast crew, was welcoming and friendly. The rates were affordable for Manhattan, and the location near Times Square, with a subway right next door, made getting around easy. We highly recommend the hotel and will definitely return.

The service was the best part of our stay. Everyone was kind and helpful, and they made our kids feel welcome, helped us find a taxi, and explained things along the way. The hotel was also clean and well located. I usually expect tiny rooms and indifferent service in NYC, so this place went beyond what I expected. We’ll be back.
