The Lex NYC

We stayed for 5 days, and the location was convenient. The staff were kind and helpful, and we never felt unsafe. The room was fairly spacious for NYC and had a little balcony, but it faced a strange alley so we didn’t use it. The room felt dated, though. I wasn’t bothered by general cleanliness, but there was a lot of dust in the corners and along the carpet edges where it met the wall. I don’t like carpet in hotel rooms and prefer wood or laminate for cleanliness, so that alone probably means I won’t stay again.

The staff were friendly and helpful enough, and quick to come when the air conditioning wasn’t working right. They couldn’t get it working properly, though, and it was very loud. My room was small but practical for a couple of days. I wouldn’t book for a longer stay. Breakfast was limited, with few options and nothing hot, but the food itself was nice quality. It’s a very basic hotel.

I didn’t end up staying at the hotel, but the staff were understanding and kind. I had a sudden family emergency and needed to cancel a reservation that was due to start the next day. Even though it was non-refundable and couldn’t normally be changed or cancelled, they helped me cancel without a charge. I’m very grateful for their support and kindness.

The Lex Hotel NYC was a great choice for my New York stay. I was especially impressed by how welcoming and attentive the staff were, which made everything feel easy. The room was spotless and stylish, and more spacious than I expected for the city. The location was convenient and accessible without feeling crowded. I’d highly recommend the Lex Hotel for comfort, quality, and good value in NYC.
