We were exhausted, so we stayed, but the heater didn't work at all. The front desk had no other room for us. Inside, the bed smelled fine and the sheets and pillows were clean. I checked for bed bugs and didn't find any. The bathroom also seemed clean. The worn comforters, rusty shower head, dirty walls, chipped-looking paint, lime around the sink, and broken, dirty plastic chairs on the deck were harder to overlook. Outside, the lot and entrance were full of huge potholes. The check-in building looked gorgeous, but the room building had cigarette butts, overflowing trash, and beer bottles scattered around. Inside it smelled of marijuana and beer. Online, the reviews made it sound like a really nice, solid hotel. That wasn't what we found, and I wouldn't recommend it.

We returned our keys and cancelled the room. The front desk attendant handled it without a problem and was pleasant and friendly. This wasn't his fault, but the owners clearly aren't maintaining the hotel. The room was unsanitary: the beds hadn't been made, the comforter had cigarette burns, the tub was moldy, and there was blood on the toilet seat. Smoke was everywhere, even in our non-smoking room, and the upstairs hallway smell was so strong it made me cough. On the way up, I could smell marijuana coming from several rooms. Outside, there were huge potholes that could damage a car, litter and debris, and laundry hanging outside. People seemed to be living there, and police were on site for a call. The lobby was nice, as was the attendant, but I didn't feel the place was safe, especially for children. I've stayed in plenty of $70 budget hotels, and this was so bad I'd rather have slept in my car. It wouldn't meet cleanliness standards even without a pandemic. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone, not even a dog I disliked, and I won't book here again.

The bed was clean, though one pillow barely filled its full-size case. Everything else made for a miserable stay. The bathtub ran all night, leaving the carpet by the bathroom door soaked from a leak, and the tub had some kind of slippery residue. The patio door was broken and held shut with a stick. Lampshades were broken and fell when touched, and one had yellow stains. The night clerk was unprofessional, I have a severe disability and wasn't accommodated. The coffee station was awful, and the creamer was a hard little brick. I wouldn't recommend staying there.

The staff were pleasant, but I'd be embarrassed to let guests stay in rooms like these. There was dirt and staining on the door and walls, the microwave was filthy, the sheets were dirty, and the bed skirt looked as if someone had walked on it in dirty shoes. The lounge chair looked like someone had urinated in it. The shower was brown and dingy, and the carpet looked untouched since the '80s. I asked for another room. It was cleaner, but not by much, and the surfaces were sticky. I had to Lysol everything.

I paid $105 plus tax, and it was a huge disappointment. The room felt gross: peeling, stained walls, a filthy tub, musty bedding, and a non-smoking room that smelled of smoke. The bathroom door frame was rotting. Dust and dirt covered the corners and baseboards, the light switches didn't work properly, and the balcony was filthy. There was trash around the property, and the parking lot was full of potholes. The stairs were rusted. They advertised free breakfast but didn't provide it because of COVID. Take it off the ads, then. At $61, the room would be more appropriately priced. It has no business costing over $100.
