Days Inn by Wyndham Ocala North

The outside may give the wrong impression, but this is a really nice hotel for the price, and it went beyond what I expected. Our room was clean and up to date, and the pool and outdoor spaces were kept tidy. The front desk staff were warm and welcoming. I also liked the grab-and-go breakfast and the small charge for early check-in or late checkout.

The room was clean, the bed and pillows were comfortable, and the bathroom looked recently renovated. The shower had strong pressure and was a proper shower, not a tub you had to step into. We heard no motorway noise, despite being right beside one. Staff were friendly, and the welcome was lovely. The TV took a bit of fiddling before it connected to the internet, and a few guests nearby were rowdy, but at that price I just whispered to my wife, “£47, baby.” There’s a small grab-and-go breakfast too. If you’re flying through and need somewhere cheap and quick to rest, this is a great choice.

We were almost short of the room cost because we needed money for the deposit. We were counting coins and still came up short, and we were discouraged, wondering where our family would sleep. Then Carlotta, the night desk attendant, asked us to wait while she checked her account. She offered to cover the deposit herself. I can't say enough about how grateful we were for her kindness. I thank God for the blessings he's given our family, and for people like Carlotta who still show compassion, patience, and care. I hope all the love she gives others comes back to her tenfold. Days Inn Wyndham should be proud to have her. She'd have earned five stars from me for her service, attitude, and effort even without going so far above and beyond. We arrived very late after another nearby hotel nearly doubled the price shown on our booking site. That booking wasn't refundable, although the desk clerk there said she'd cancel it without charge because of the price. We weren't even sure we'd be able to afford another hotel. Days Inn on Blitchton Rd had the lowest advertised rate nearby, and Carlotta greeted us warmly when we got there.

This was awful. My mom brought me here, and the ceiling had a hole, the sheets were dirty, and I found bugs on my shoe and in the bathroom. The breakfast wasn't good either. This is the worst hotel I've stayed at, and I wish I could give it less than one star. They need better service, clean sheets, better breakfast, and to get rid of the roaches. I wouldn't recommend staying here until they fix the place.
